You have to find the solution for YOU not your friend not your family, YOU! I don't like cardio so I lift weights and walk i do my 10k steps per day or 70k over the week. I only incorporate cardio when I'm really cutting or have holidays to increase my output!ย I love carbs so I make them fit my diet I love chocolate so I won't stop sugar Carbs are our primary source of energy so I bloody need them Once you find a way to be in a calorie deficit and are able to sustain and enjoy it you will never struggle with your weight.
